Earth Day 2013

Youth celebrate Earth Day with a week of volunteering activities including litter clean-up and planting flowers and trees.

Armed Forces Day 2013

Youth decorated book marks, picture frames, friendship bracelets and wrote letters and cards to send to the troops overseas. They also sent books, candy and snacks for the soldiers.

clothes swap

We call it a swap but it's all for free! Everyone bring out new/like new clothes that people can use for the school year, We will meet at the community park at 7 p.m. and go through the clothes for our kids!!!

Neighborhood Watch

Members of SFR Neighborhood Watch are Red Cross certified in First aid and CPR

Discussions/programs have included:

 

Vial of life program

 

Welcoming new families to community

Creating emergency escape plans for all homes in case of fire or disaster (including meeting place & responsibility of all block captains to verify everyone in their area is safe.

Tornado shelter preparation and safety plans

 
Event Committee Meeting - Discussion/plans include:

Preparing summer programs

 

(April) Events committee will be meeting first Wednesday to stuff Easter eggs with candy and prizes

Spring/Summer - Yard of the Month


Each month, outside judges select a winner for the Yard of the Month contest. In addition to a sign to display in their yard, the winners also receive $50 off their rent. 

 

In the winter SFR holds a Christmas yard decorating contest - check out some of our yards in the Christmas links!!
