Unlike many places one may live, Sunrise Family Resort is a true community of neighbor helping neighbor.  This communiy also works together in providing a safe and friendly environment and many activities, especially for youth. This page is dedicated to all the wonderful volunteers whose efforts make SFR a place we are all proud to call home.

Thanks to our volunteer we are able to offer brunch to our youth during our summer youth program.

Kimberly, neighborhood Watch Coordinator

Kimberly is serving as the 2012 SFR Neighborhood Watch Coordinator. Under her leadership the neighborhood watch committee assist in enforcing SFR rules, provide regular day and night patrols of the community, watch out for homes of tenants on vacation/out of town and create emergency plans for things like tornados, high winds, fire etc. The neighborhood watch are part of the Vials for Life Program and all members are Red Cross certified in First Aid and CPR. In addition, all members of the SFR Neighborhood Watch sign a confidentiality program.

Each potential member must sign a confidentiality statement before being considered as a member of the neighborhood watch.

The neighborhood watch also provides community service such as the annual community clean up day to help ensure the betterment of their community.

Special thanks to Kimberly and the SFR Neighborhood Watch Committee who help ensure that our community remains a safe and trouble-free place for all the families who live here.

Please note a photo of the Committee will be provided in the near future wearing the shirts they designed at one of their recent meeting. Neighborhood Watch meets once a month where they discuss any complaints, incidents and/or things they can do for the safety and betterment of the community they serve and protect.

Bobbi, Daryl & Charlotte help plan and oversee community events.

The event committee organizes activities and seeks volunteers with skills and interest to work with youth on numerous activities. They also keep the community updated on materials and supplies needed for crafts and other activities. Some of the events they oversee are Children's Bingo, craft days, movie nights, lock-ins, sleep-outs, field trips and of course, the SFR Summer Youth Program.

In addition to all they do "hands on," they donate many of the materials needed for events and transportation to youth on field trips.
